Consider carefully
3 years ago, when the 9210 was first released, it was such a fancy device. It amazed everyone who saw me use it, and it was such a James Bond gadget. But as with any other computing device- 3 years is enough time for any computer to get outdated.
the 9210 uses Serial port (not USB) hence data transfer is EXTREMELY slow. My communicator has developed display problem because the display wires are hooked at the axis of the opening part- so when you open and close it about 500 times, (over a year), the display starts to flicker, and now its like a junk TV that operates sometimes, and fails most times.
Also, the keyboard has developed a strange fault which doesnt allow the left hand side of many special keys to work anymore. Extremely annoying as the '@' symbol amongst many others doesnt work. I would never recommend the communicator to anyone. It is fancy, useful alright, but over time, you will realize it has more disadvantages than advantages. I prefer my MUCH smaller, Sony T610 now.
Since it is heavy, i dropped it once, and the infrared port at the corner of the phone smashed and doesnt work anymore (it is bound to happen to anyone using the phone). Also, please consider that Nokia doesnt provide much support about this phone at ALL... I live in London, and yet, after a year of pestering Nokia people to upgrade my phone firmware for faster speed, they give lame excuses each time, or simply refuse and pretend to not understand about this phone at all.
I would never recommend this to anyone. Consider buying a PDA- based phone if you want one. Symbian OS is extremely unreliable, it hangs up atleast twice a day, and booting time is almost 2 mins (terrible when you are making an emergency call, and your phone hangs up!!). its not a phone, its a Pda, with a crap operating system and terrible phone features.
