Customer Reviews
A solid , feature-packed, value for money phone!
I've been using this phone for the past 24 hours, I bought it to replace my unreliable T68i, and here is my view.
Looks wise it looks very nice, the X design for the keys does not compromise usability and the two-tone colouring gives it a sophisticated style. The case has an unappealing plasticky and therefore cheap feel. However it does also feel quite tough, nothing rattles and there are no creaking sounds that are common with most phones! Size wise the phone is very small for a camera phone, probably one of the smallest around.
The screen is OK. My T68i has a slightly brighter and larger screen although the T68i is smaller. The camera is OK too, close-up shots have excellent quality but longer-distance ones suffer from lighting problems and look blurry.
The sound quality is excellent and as good as on any phone. You can set the ring tones to play very loudly without sacrificing any quality. You can record your own ring-tones & other sounds and guess what? They sound great! The hands free option basically turns it into a speaker phone, so you can sit it down in down car and just talk!
The menu system is fast and responsive. The one thing that bothered me was how long you had to wait to load games. It has put me off playing any games on this phone.
Having Bluetooth would have completed this phone. That may be important for some, it’s not for me and hey what do you expect for this price anyway? Also it didn’t come with any PC software, but you can download it from the siemens website.
I bought this phone because siemens have a reputation for producing solid, reliable, & quality phones. This is no exception. I have been pleasantly surprised by the amount of features it has, and I strongly recommend it. It is colour, great looking, has a built it camera, has great sounding polyphonic ring tones, and loads of features. If you can live without the Bluetooth, then at this price point this is the only phone worth consideration.
You get loads more than what you pay for!
I bought the Siemens MC60 sim-free from the link and was firstly amazed by the price. You really do get loads of features such as integrated digital camera, voice commands, colour screen all of which you would expect on a top of the range phone. The phone itself is quite stylish yet, after reading reviews about the camera's quality i can see what people mean. Its not the best camera but it does a very good job considering the price. Word of warning though you cant as yet use any of the MMS services on pay as you go, this hasn't been sorted yet. The phone is also very light weighing around 90 grams. To sum up if you haven't got a lot of money but are desperate for a fone with gadgets then this is the perfect buy.
very very good
The MC60 is very very good camera with every thing you need it could be improved, but with a bit of fiddling around with the brightness it gets better. It is quite hard to use but if you are used to phones then you will work it easily. It's X-design makes it look really funky and so does the intergrated camera. For a cheap price, what more could you possibly ask for???
