Great budget flip-phone
The first thing to notice about this is the price, it's cheap and it's meant for people who just want the most basic flip-phone possible. If you want a radio or a camera, get something more expensive.
I bought this as a gift for someone who isn't a technophile and just wanted something to do all the basics, but with a bit more style than usual.
It's also far more comfortable to make calls on a flip-phone, especially for people who are used to normal landline phones. The microphone actually reaches your mouth without taking the earpiece away from your ear.
It's a barebones phone, but what you get is good, the phone does the job. Calls and texts are fine, and there's even a browser which lets you see mobile websites and download ringtones and wallpaper.
The keypad is perhaps the most unusual part of the phone, it's a sort of solid rubber overlay with switches hidden beneath it which click when you press each button. The keypad lights up completely when you use it because the rubber is translucent.
When the phone is closed, the edge of the keypad is visible and lights up brightly when you receive a call or text message. If you miss a call or text, it blinks blue once every few seconds so you can check if you've missed anything without actually opening it or taking it out of your pocket. The blinking is very bright indeed and is great if you have it on a bedside table, you can find it very easily in the dark.
The screen is nice and bright too, and good enough for any basic user. You can see text messages and the address book very clearly.
I've taken one star off because the closing mechanism feels ever so slightly weak. It never felt like it was breaking, and even if it did break the guarantee would cover it, but it didn't feel quite as solid as I'd like it to. But it's not for me, it's for someone less into technology and more into just making phone calls.
That's a minor quibble though, this is a great phone if just you want the basics but still want your phone to look a bit snazzy and make calls in more comfort.
Super Stylish Nokia Flip Phone!
This phone is fab - very cool looking, with a silver exterior and a classy white inside. It has the great Nokia menu system, but also has the crucial factor for 2005 - the clamshell flip! It's feature-packed with so many features I've not used them all - it's the style that blows me away!
Top notch!
Awesome phone
This is a really cool phone - really great for value, just £39.99! it's such a great size and really good looking too. If anything, and this is tiny, the key pad took me a bit of getting used to (i kept pressing wrong buttons). But otherwise, no complaints. Buy it!
