If you text, don't go near this phone
Samsung appear to make good quality phones, with sturdy construction and good keypads. This phone is no exception; it is very well made and reception is always good. However, if you text more than a few times a week, either for pleasure or to save on call charges, this phone is a disaster. The texting software appears more archaic than the very first 'brick' phone i owned five years ago. There is no text-wrap on screen which makes reading messages harder, and the T9 predictive text facility offers no alternative words when it guesses wrongly from your spelling. This becomes infuriating very quickly and for this reason alone, i have updgraded to another phone within 3 months of buying it.
decent
I think it's a pretty decent phone with the basic application on it. I have had it for over a year and half now and still going strong. Only thing that is different from what I have now with a new one is that the OK button coat is fading away.
I think texting application is good, but I don't use T9 (predictive text)facility, I just use the typical way of texting.
I would recommend you use this phone if you don't want to all the internet, bluetooth, music stuff on the phone. Battery life is good as well in my opinion, I can still leave my phone without charging for 3days.
Only trouble with this phone is not enough space in inbox for SMS Messages ^_^"
