Customer Reviews
Great phone - don't buy a Motorola KRZR or RAZR
Since the previous review tells you nothing about the phone at all, here goes. Absolutely great, with loads of features inc bluetooth, 2MP camera which you can use when the phone is open or closed, video calling which is fantastic - the picture is just amazing. I have had both the Motorola KRZR and RAZR phone and this one leaves them well behind. You can also do really useful stuff like conference calling, MP3 player which incidentally is twice the volume of the samsung E600 - and with buttons on the front of the phone so you can work the player when the clamshell is closed. As for MMS as detailed in the other review - my works fine, so I suggest he changes his network. This is standard to have to ring up the provider and ask for MMS to be switched on. Oh and lastly, it's 3G for all you connectivity freaks out there - buy one, if it breaks get it fixed at a local phone shop - they all do repairs if you cant get any joy with Siemens. Well worth buying - and probably 20% of the price of one of the well known handsets.
Don't waste your money...
DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE - OR ANY BENQ-SIEMENS PHONE! In the UK at least... Benq-Siemens have gone into liquidation, which basically means if your phone goes wrong, you can't get it repaired by anyone, as their repair service isn't currently available. They're currently looking into an alternative, but it may take months. And if your phone is still under warranty, it makes no difference. You may get lucky and be able to claim some money from PriceWaterhouseCoopers who are looking after the liquidation, but it probably won't be much money as they have to give some money back to all the people who are owed money by BenQ-Siemens...
My first phone went wrong after about 6 months, and I managed to get a replacement. My second phone is not supported by the mobile phone company I am with. As a result, I can't use MMS. No UK mobile phone company supports this phone, which means they'll just refer you to BenQ-Siemens for any support issue. And as BenQ-Siemens is in liquidation... Yep, you got it. You're stuffed.
Best advice: STEER CLEAR OF BENQ-SIEMENS PHONES!
DO NOY BUY THIS PHONE !!!
My EF81 has just died (still under warrenty), and basically it's my problem. Tried to get it fixed but was told it was irepairable, so go away. So much for buying from what I considered a reputeable company.
