Customer Reviews
love my e900
I purchased this phone on contract last September and granted it does take a while to get used to (but which phone doesn't) i looked at the d900 but i thought it was a bit too big for me personally.
The slide is brilliant, and so far I have no scratches or dents on this phone which is good!!
The only down side with this phone is that it is very touch sensitive, so u end up accidentally phoning people when trying to do something else, but its fine when not in use as it locks!
The photos are quite good quality for a mobile and the video is alright for capturing something on the spur of a moment.
Overall, good sound quality, takes some getting used to, a small keyboard, but u get used to it.
A fun little mobile, but maybe not for everyone, personally I couldn't live without mine!!
Excelled, But Flawed
This phone is one of the only phones, in which i have bought, that the screen quality is reflected in the picture quality. The screen is vibrant and you can navigate your way through the menus very easily. On the downside, this phone only has two skins. Yep thats it. All in all this phone is FANTASTIC for the price, and the quality screen, quality camera, and the quality sound that comes from this phone, is normally only seen on top of the range models. This phone is a true must have!.
Good but flawed
As this phone is made by Samsung so i was expecting a lot, granted it delivers in some areas but in others it leaves something to be desired.
The build quality (considering it's a slider) is horrible, just holding it tightly reveals how thin the outside shell is and you're met with bending of the case and more worryingly the screen can be de-pressed rather more than other mobiles i've used.
Big fingers need not apply for the keyboard as (i assume to keep the unit as small as possible) the keypad isn't very big, granted this wouldn't be a huge problem on a non-sliding phone (as the keypad is flush with the screen) but with a slider you're met with the bottom of the top part of the phone at times and it's rather offputting.
Also, the keypad is touch sensitive and from myself and friends opinions you'll either love it or hate it. Can't emphasise that enough. So prior to purchase i strongly suggest having a fiddle first.
On the upside, if you do like the touch sensitive keypad you'll absolutely love it (as i do). The menu system is easily navigable, the unit is light, small, and packs a wonderful camera/lens. The quality of shots are some of the best i've seen although some of this might be down to the screen which is also superb, and i do mean superb.
All in all, there are some annoying things to the phone but the worst of these is the touch sensitive keypad, but if you like that then you'll put up with the rest as they don't detract (except for the keypad size) from using the phone. Flawed, but still recommended.
