Customer Reviews

Great phone4
I've had my 5500 sport for about a year, I've had no problems with it at all. It does everything a phone should do and does it well. I have recorded a tune of my own for a ringtone and it plays clearly without problems.
The camera is excellent, for 2 megapixcels (better than a 2 meg point and shoot I used to have), easy to use, easy to download pictures and good clear pics. The pedometer is very useful, I never realised how far I was walking the dog until I got this.
My keyboard is firm and showing no sign of the problems others have had, maybe it's all in how you take care of it.
I would give it five stars if it was waterproof.

Good replacement for a Nokia 5140 / 5140i4
This phone is very robust, so ideal for builders, plumbers etc

It is water resistant but not water proof. I think the other people must have been using the phone as waterproof for their key-pads to come off

This phone is strong, but cannot expect to use while boating and get wet etc

It has some sports facilities, i have not used those. Also you can store 1000's of songs if you buy a memory card, only 30 or 40 if you use as it is, so I'd suggest to buy a card as they only cost a few £'s - also stores extra photos etc

About as rugged as a china plate!1
I dislike writing bad reveiws of products, i try to find the good points above the bad points but with some products thats nigh on impossible and the Nokia 5500 sport is one of those products.

The phone Is desigened to suit the actively minded individual, great i thought, but it has major flaws. I personally sent mine back for repair 3 times in 12 months. The key pad is poorly stuck on with glue that wears out. The flap hiding the head phone connector and the charger socket becomes weak, doesnt close properly and after a while comes off all together!

The music player holds about 30 songs pittiful when you consider some of the other models on the market. The sports functions arent accurate and although easy to work are pointless if not accurate. The fonts are tiny on some screens and the menu often freezes.

All in all it was one of the worst phones i have used, i had it on contract so it was free but if your pay as you go and are thinking of purchasing it all i can say is more fool you!
