Fit for purpose?
The item comes as a split-charge stand for the phone as you see in the picture, not with a charging-cable so if you are ordering this as an extra charger, you'll also need to order a triple-pin 240v charger.

The idea of it's great and if you're going to use the phone as a web-cam or video-phone on a regular basis, probably very handy.

Works great as a seperate battery-charger, limited usage for the phone-stand other than the above. Good value for money but no lead to plug it in so bear that in mind when ordering.

Doesn't charge battery without phone being connected??
Good idea and works well with my phone and also charges the separate battery but only when the phone is connected to the stand. Is this a fault with the stand?

Desktop charger
This was a brilliant little charger, great to be able to do the phone and a spare battery at the same time.
Would definitely recommend.
