Worst ever1
I've had mobile phones for years and years - in the mid-90s and I have experienced quite a assortment of phones during that time. However, this is one phone I feel most strongly about as it is absolutely appalling. Firstly the phone keeps cutting out. The signal would disappear for no apparent reason but curiously this is more frequent when the person you are calling, is not on the same service as you - i.e. Orange in my case trying to talk to an O2 user. The other annoying thing about it is that the backlight stays on for quite a long time after you close it. I know what you're thinking. I should change the time-out settings in the menu; but this doesn't seem to make any difference. This has the knock-on effect that the battery is poor and needs charging every two days, even if its on standby.
Just about the only thing about this phone which I liked was the typical Motorola keypad. But what use is it, if the phone does not work properly. My worst phone ever, in 15 years! Avoid at all costs.

Best 3 phones I've ever had.5
I've had mobiles for years, starting with a BT Cellnet Bosch in 1996 (which I returned to the shop and cancelled my contract after 3 terrible months). Since then I've been on Orange and had a Bosch 509e, a Phillips Diga, a Sony J70e, and five Motorola phones (starting with the V500e, then a V635 - which I still have and works fine- and then the K1 Motokrzr). I've never had any issues with battery life (5-7 days standby). The phones are robust, which is lucky because I've dropped them on concrete more than once. Signal strength is fine depending on where you are (you're not going to get a signal on top of Ben Nevis, no matter what phone or network you're on - unless they've put a cell up there).
Why have I had three then you ask? Simple, I'm on a contract and when they asked what phone I wanted to upgrade to, I stuck with one I knew I'd never had any trouble with. It doesn't have a great camera (2 megapixal), but its not a camera, its a phone. It doesn't have a lot of games, but its not a games console, its a phone. If you want a phone that does what its supposed to, this is the one for the job. One of the great things about Motorola is that they make great communication equipment. The unit itself is small and light but feels very well built. When you open it, its the perfect size. The buttons are a good size too (I've got fat fingers and have no problems with it). It does have an mp3 player, that works fine and the earphones are comfy. You can assign different ring tones to everyone in your phonebook (even if they text you it comes up with that persons ringtone, which my wifes Samsung does not). The bluetooth isn't fast, a lot of my friends have mocked me for it. But in the end its for calling people to talk to them and thats where you'd want the phone to count and it does. Even in areas with low signal its clear with no break up. It can take a micro sd card up to 1gb (or so the instructions would tell you, I've got a 2gb card in it with no problems -I even tried putting it in my old V635 which is only supposed to go up to 512mb and had no problems, so I believe it will take more). Overall a fantastic phone that does what its supposed to. (And you can link it with the Motorola S9 bluetooth headphones and it makes a damn fine mp3 player).
