Customer Reviews

Motorola USB data cable - depends who you buy it from2
I bought the advertised cable from FoneM8store where if you read the description you'll see the following technical details of all the wonderful things you'll be able to do.

"Technical Details

* Simply plug the cable in to your PC/laptop USB port and attach the phone
* Transfer and edit images taken with your phone to your PC
* Upload and edit polyphonic ringtones downloaded from the web, and transfer MP3's
* Install Java applications & games from the PC to the phone.
* Charge your handset while transferring data."

Unfortunately this isn't the case as you also need software, but they don't tell you that. Admittedly it's cheap enough until you add on the postage, but there's not much point in having a cable that does nothing but sit there like a coiled snake - without the associated software, well - unless you are into obscure ornaments!

I was very careful looking through the various adverts for this product and other sellers at least admitted they were only supplying the cable, which was fair enough. However implying that the above actions could all be completed by buying the cable from FoneM8store was just a bit naughty as far as I'm concerned.

I suppose it is testament to the old saying: If something looks too good to be true, it probably is ;o)
