It has plenty of Soul!5
I finally got rid of my N95 (nokia)-which was trouble from the 2nd week I had it...my mobile company did an exchange for me- for the samsung U900 soul in pink- all I can say is WOW! This is the most amazing mobile I have ever had- 4get the stupid fad of these cruddy symbian (think that is correct) mobiles- which just have all the finess of a brick- and the reliability of windows- this mobile is everything anyone could want.
Its appearance is stunning, its features allow total customisation of everything I could think to try to change- even down to 5 different vibrate styles and strength of vibrate. The touch panel- once I removed the protective plastic film- is also fab- it is also great to customise it - change the colours of the icons- even down to the tone of the colour- so they are 100% fully changable- not like most mobiles- which give a limited range of colours- eg. red, blue, this one give you every shade of each colour too! You can change how strong the response to touch is, and which icons are on it.
After the initial full charge- which only took aprox 3 hours- the battery has lasted extremely well, I fully customised the mobile, (played about with it for 2 hours) I have made and received about 10 calls- totalling aprox 1 1/2 hours, and the battery level has barely moved from 3 bars to 2. You can even stop the mobile making any noise when you turn it on and off- which I haven't had on any previous mobile- and I always hated that.
Unlike the Nokia N95 and my nokia 6288 before that- this can send business card style messages- which I always found useful on other mobiles- and there is an option to send a postcard- which I'm not sure my network supports- and I'm not sure what it does- but I'm sure its good.
The construction of the mobile is great- it is very slim- but not as flimsey as the razor, it is light weight, yet made from a metal not plastic- the keys are easy to operate- unlike the N95. The camera is pretty good- its 5mega pix- and the quality is good- not as good maybe as the N95- but I have a DSLR so I'm not that bothered.
The sound quality is a bit tinney- but I found the N95's sound pretty bad anyway.
I know I am compareing two entirely different mobiles- however it was my previous mobile- and I am so fed up with people (inc me) falling for the hype of these top of the range mobiles- just because we see the adverts/billboards- and want the best and latest mobile- I do not care what they have improved with the new N96- I had the 8gb n95 and that wasn't released that long ago- and was the version 2 of the N95 and it was still a pile of rubbish.
One last thing- nokia as a company are 100% useless to get help from- and samsung whom also made our TV and some other electricals we own- are UK based and are extremely helpful.
Nokia were the leading mobile company- because they were one of the first in the UK- do not be fooled to think they are the best- they make substandard mobiles and will not help you if you need it.
Hope this has been useful.
