Manufacturer's Description

The new Apple MacBook Air is hereThe New MacBook Air - Better graphics, more storage and still the world's thinnest notebook
The new MacBook Air is still ultrathin, ultraportable, and ultra unlike anything else. But somehow there's room to add so much more. A bigger hard drive. A 4x graphics performance boost. And more power for everyday tasks. Mobile computing has yet another new standard.
With a new integrated graphics processor, MacBook Air changes the game and just about everything you do with it. The NVIDIA GeForce 9400M provides up to an amazing 4x performance boost over the original MacBook Air.1 Gamers rejoice: Graphics-intensive games play more smoothly. Transitions in Keynote are seamless. Photos appear in iPhoto without delay. And movie and video playback is better than ever before. No other ultraportable offers such discrete-level graphics performance in an integrated processor.

The new Apple MacBook Air is here Full-size, full-feature keyboard
The keyboard is full size with crisp keys. The keys are also backlit, making it easy to work in low-light settings such as airplanes and conference halls. A built-in ambient light sensor automatically adjusts keyboard and display brightness for optimal visibility. And with the oversized Multi-Touch trackpad, it just keeps getting better for fingers.

The brilliance of Multi-Touch
MacBook Air includes an oversize trackpad with Multi-Touch technology. You can pinch, swipe, or rotate to zoom in on text, advance through a photo album, or adjust an image. Or try out the new four-finger swipe. With this gesture, you can navigate up and down for Expose modes or left and right to switch between applications.

MacBook Air screen size

A smart LED display
The moment you open your MacBook Pro you're greeted by glorious, full screen brightness. But that's only one gleaming quality of the glossy LED-backlit widescreen display. The picture is brilliant and sharp from corner to corner. And anything you view — including the ultrathin display itself — is a spectacular experience. The seamless glass enclosure makes this display stronger and more durable. It's more power efficient and mercury- and arsenic-free, so it's greener than ever.

nvidia graphics

Advanced NVIDIA integrated graphics
The NVIDIA GeForce 9400M brings amazing, high-speed graphics to MacBook Air. With up to a 4x graphics performance boost, graphics-intensive applications now run faster. Movie and video playback is now richer. Even Cover Flow flips more smoothly. It's a quantum leap for MacBook Air graphics.

harddrive

More room. So you can take it all with you
The MacBook Air hard drive is now larger at 120GB. So now there's plenty of storage space for your photos, movies, documents — basically everything you want and need to take with you. Or upgrade to a 128GB solid-state drive, which has no moving parts, for enhanced durability.

Wireless connection

Built for the wireless world
MacBook Air takes full advantage of the wireless world. A world in which 802.11n Wi-Fi is so fast and so available, you can truly live untethered — buying and renting movies online, printing wirelessly, and sharing and storing files on the web.

Built in webcam

Built-in iSight camera
MacBook Air also includes a built-in iSight camera so smartly integrated, you hardly notice it's there. The iSight camera and iChat software make video chatting easy anywhere there's a wireless network.

intel core 2 deo processors

Faster is better
MacBook Air performance is as impressive as its form, thanks to its 1.6GHz or 1.86GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor. This chip was custom-built to fit within the compact dimensions of MacBook Air. And now, it's faster than ever. The new 1066MHz frontside bus, additional 6MB L2 Cache, and way-more-than-generous 2GB of faster DDR3 RAM provides plenty of speed and memory for working with your favorite applications.

Ports with possibilities

Thin is in the details
The innovative now-you-see-it, now-you-don't port hatch flips down to reveal (and closes to hide) all the ports you really need: a USB 2.0 port, a headphone jack, and a new Mini DisplayPort that supports DVI, Dual-Link DVI and VGA video output. The Mini DisplayPort connects to the new Apple LED Cinema Display, and it supports other displays up to 30 inches.

Customer Reviews

The best ultra-portable out there!5
Having been a 12" Powerbook user for 5 years, I was excited to get my hands on the Macbook Air when my PB finally retired. "Ultra-portable" doesn't do it justice.... this thing is SUPER thin and light, and feels lighter than the notepads I carry around with me!

This machine hit exactly what I needed - mobile internet, mail, Office/iWork use and some dabbling with iPhoto. It's no MacBook Pro, but it's not supposed to be a powerhouse - just a super portable Mac. Exactly what it says on the tin.

Battery life is superb, the SSD is really quiet and plenty fast. The Air Disk feature is pretty neat, but if you do lots of installs from CDs or ripping CDs to iTunes, you may want to consider investing in the USB Superdrive. But for me, Air Disk works a treat for when I needed it.

In short, if you are mobile and want everything a Mac can give you, the MacBook Air is the lightest, sexiest way to switch. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
