Excellent
I bought this MP3 player last year and i think that this product is excellent. When used with the DS it lasts hours and hours on continuous play even if your not playing a game and the sound quality is very good. Would recommend to anyone who would like to listen to their own choice of songs while playing.

It's only downfall is that it won't play through DS's speakers when your at main screen so you would need earphones for it.

In conclusion an EXCELLENT product

Generic mp3 player for DS lite
Once you are aware of the limitations of the product it is actually a very neat piece of equipment. The positives are that it lets you play music while you play the DS game in the other slot and its compact and stylish.

However, because of the paucity of information coming with the product there are a few bits of information which are useful to know:

1. The device is effectively parasitic, taking power from the DS console but does not play through the console speakers or enable any interaction between the console and the MP3 player. Therefore there will be nothing on the console's display to indicate that the MP3 player is attached or what music files are on the chip.
2. If you want to play a specific song you have to scroll one-by-one through the songs to find it, so it means not having too many songs on the chip and renewing the list frequently.
3. It only works with earphones (inserted into the MP3 player) but crucially will not function with larger headphones - it may actually play Ok but does not seem to have the power to push sound through headphones or speakers (both of which would place a greater demand on output power of the MP3 player)
