Soaring vocals and great riffs. Best album ever ?

With two solid albums already this is the one that launched them world-wide. No links to the Vinyl Picture Disc of this... got mine on release day and 27 years later it's still a treasured possesion.

Concept albums don't get better than this one. Fantasic story with memorable singles.

Toss up between this and Led Zep 4 - Kashmir or Stairway. It's all brilliant though, not just the signature tunes.

Their Punk origins seemed pretty distant with this. Pop/Goth/Rock/Punk - it's all there and sounds fantastic.

This is the incredible original version and not the later "re-issue" shamefully hacked about by Ozzy/Sharon with session musicians.

Expected me to pick Sonic Temple ? Nearly did, but prefer this one.

A German band with German lyrics and the prime exponents of Industrial Metal. Better on DVD though because of the onstage pyromania and sheer spectacle.

1974. Greatest Hits album and it was released in 1974. Talk about peaked too soon.

Still as angry and vitriolic as ever, but with more meaningful lyrics on a diverse range of subjects. Laugh at the wit of Bury The Hatchet and wonder at the honesty of the love song 11 Years.
