Customer Reviews

A great book for tourists5
We purchased this book prior to a short break in Northumberland with family and found it essential as we were quite unfamiliar with the area. It gave us plenty of ideas on what to see & do, where to eat & drink and lots of tips. Overall a great buy and would highly recommend.

Not very in-depth2
Purchased this before a week's holiday on the Northumberland coast. Needed research material as it was first visit and, at first glance, seemed fairly useful. However, on reading more and more I realised that place descriptions were fairly basic and places to eat and drink sections were limited. The shallow content became more evident when we were actually in Northumberland and the book was unused for the holiday. There are much better guides out there. Also, a niggle - the word "Northumberland" is mis-spelt on the spine which makes the book look amateurish and 'cheap'.
