Customer Reviews

Brilliant5
I am an exiled Northumbrian and this is fabulous. I love the sound of the hills and the wildness of Northumbria that this CD incorporates. BUY IT! if you know and love the region as I do.

Unusual, but good.5
Unusual folk music from what is arguably the wildest part of Britain. Not often heard and only just preserved in time by a small group of dedicated enthusiasts. If you're seriously into folk music with deep roots, this is for you.

Traditional Music from the Edge of England5
This album,[sic]...it features field, studio, and archival recordings of traditional music from Northumberland, with emphasis on the Northumberland smallpipes and the fiddle. It includes never-before-released tracks by legendary musician Billy Pigg, among others. - Burt Feintuch
