A book for adult riders
Anyone who started riding as an adult, will find that they empathise strongly with Jane Shilling about her first riding lessons, early jumping experiences and the nervousness she felt when initially confronted with the mare that she had bought. Little details, for example the admission that it took her 45 minutes to tack up at first, will surely ring very true to riders from their early days with horses.
A cracking Read
I loved this book.Brilliant read. You don't have to be a suporter of foxhunting to enjoy this but I think it helps if you know a little about thehorse world.Anyone who can ride even part way competently has a Mrs. orMr. Rogers in their backgrounds somewhere. Often very funny but also aboutrediscovering your roots.
