galloping round the world
At first i thought this game was average.It takes a little time to get to grips with it.But as you find yourself improving you'll realise the care thats gone into this title.Once you unlock the international courses and the hidden u.s and asian courses it comes into it's own.Famous international courses(with thinly disguised names) are recreated perfectly with proper course layout and stands including newmarket,ascot,epsom,curragh,flemington,santa anita,dubai,york and many more.The season also follows the real horse racing schedule from the early dubai meeting,2000 guineas,kentucky derby through to the end of year breeders cup and asian races.The gameplay (once you get used to the controls and feel of the races)is excellent and recreates well the exitement and roughness of horse racing.It's a game that any fan of the sport shouldn't be without.

I am very relieved that someone out there agrees there is a market for these games. G1 Jockey 3 was great but it needed improving and also updating however koei feel there is no market for the game. Good old Zoo i say for producing an updated version of the poor gallop racer. This version is much more slicka nd is far more fun. Admitably it is alot harder but the gameplay is good and there is alot more involvement in it. The graphics are first class and the gameplay is great. lacks the bits which make g1 different gear but if koei wont upload its game available all over the world except in Britain Zoo have done well to get close too it.
A must have for all racing fans.

Not as good as the first one!
I was a little disapointed with gallop racer2 when i first played on it as I was expecting it to be like the amaizing gallop racer1 but they have changed alot of things wich I realy enjoyed.
however it is still quite an amusing game with fun parts in it but just not as good as the first one!!!!!!!!!
