Editorial Reviews

From the Author
I was delighted to write Cassandra's Chateau, the sequel to Cassandra's Conflict, because from the moment I'd finished writing Cassandra's Conflict I began to wonder how Cassandra and the Baron's intensely erotic relationship would develop. The Baron was, I knew, unlikely to change, but Cassandra would have to mature and develop. I believed that the greatest challenge she would face would be in working out how she could keep the Baron, who had such a low sexual boredom threshold, interested in her. If she failed, then she would face the same fate as her predecessor Katya, in the first book. The resulting novel is, I think, even more charged with dark erotic tension as the Baron increases the challenges faced by Cassandra and her new rival, Nicola, guiding them to extremes of sexuality that neither of them would ever have considered had they not met him. As Cassandra is led willingly into a labyrinth of perversity, I hope that the readers enjoy learning the outcome of her final fight to stay with the man she loves as much as I enjoyed writing it.

From the Back Cover
Cassandra has been living with Baron Dieter von Ritter in his sumptuous Loire Valley chateau for eighteen months when their already bizarre relationship takes an unexpected turn. The arrival of a friend's daughter provides the Baron with ample opportunity to indulge his fancy for playing darkly erotic games with strangers. Cassandra knows that if the newcomer learns how to satisfy his taste for pleasure and perversity, her days at the chateau may well be numbered, something she can hardly bear to contemplate. But help may be at hand from an unlikely source.

Praise for Cassandra's Conflict:

'The storyline is gripping, the characters are compelling and the sex scenes were mind-blowingly surreal earning CASSANDRA'S CONFLICT top marks' 5 Blue Ribbons - Romance Junkies

'A fascinating erotic character study that looks deep ' Harriet Klausner on Cassandra's Conflict

Customer Reviews

Another terrific book!5
I loved Cassandra's Conflict, and was a little apprehensive that I wouldn't enjoy Cassandra's Chateau as much. How wrong can you be! This is another terrific book by Fredrica Alleyn, and if anything I enjoyed it even more than its predecessor. The author has developed Cassandra's character in a very skilful and believable manner. She is now the Baron's permanent mistress and no longer the naïve young girl of the earlier book. However, her new position means that she is in danger of losing him as, in order to try and prevent him from becoming bored, she helps him as he begins a series of darkly erotic games with the new guest in his house, Nicola, the innocent daughter of one of his oldest friends. As Nicola slowly loses her innocence, Cassandra realises that her own position may now be in danger.

The book is fantastically erotic from the very start, and the sex scenes sizzle on the pages. The erotic charge between all the characters is incredible, and Cassandra even finds herself more involved than the Baron likes with another of his guests. I couldn't put the book down, and am amazed at how explicit these early Black Lace novels were.

The two Cassandra books are some of the best S&M/domination books I have ever read, but be warned. This time the author really does push the envelope, so if you prefer your erotica a little less edgy then this is not for you. For me it was a fantastic read, and I can't wait for further Fredrica Alleyn reissues!
