5 stars, warts an' all
The technical quality of the Eurovision Song Contests depends on the resources of country that hosts it. That is why during the shows there are sound problems that were present during the live broadcast and obviously are carried over to the dvd. Like fractions of sound going off or even in the semi final, during Norway's Wig Wam song, the song almost turns mono and seems never to recover. Anyway, we all love the show in spite, and maybe because of all its warts.
Incredibly dull presenters, like this year's male one: heellooooooooo0 Kyiiiiiiiiivvvvvvvvvv. What is this Late Night With Conan O'Brien? And he never changes his speech. Thank god the presenters of the show are to be found only little during the semi, and only at the voting of the final.
The show is a mixture of great songs, poor performances, non-vocals, weirdos, powerful ballads, crazy costumes, crazy costume changes, you name it.
I cannot thank the ESC enough for briging the shows out on dvd.
I agree a sheet for a program with 50+ chapter stops should have been included, but hey, I love it anyway, and so will you

Better presented than the 2004 DVD
Overall the Eurovision DVD's are good, but they could be so much better. The package feels too rushed. The omission of a booklet with chapter breaks detailed is criminal on a 3 hour 20 minute production. Also please please can we remember that we are using DVD's now, so can we have surround sound included on the disc. It's worth buying at Amazon prices, just dont expect to be wowed by it.

Brilliant to watch!!!!!!!!
I am totally pleased with this dvd version of the eurovision song contest Kiev 2005. The only thing I found annoying was that Terry Wogan (coming from the UK) is not on it commentating, there was no choice to add this on. Otherwise the film was brilliant. One to watch especially with all the extras added. If your a fan this is for you!
