Good selection of songs, shame about the production quality
I have bought the Eurovision CD every year since they started releasing it, and I managed to get a copy of it early in the Netherlands. My advice? Buy the mp3s rather than the CD. In this mp3 age, the production quality has taken second place to money making for the EBU. Basically, some of the tracks on the CD sound like they are a 128 kbps mp3 or worse, probably because it is easy for each delegation to send a small mp3 rather than post a CD. This is particularly noticeable on the Polish track and less so on about half of the others. I buy CDs, which do cost more, because I want the high quality as I can hear the distortion caused by compression, so I was disappointed with this.

In terms of the content, the musical style is as varied as ever, although there seem to be very few novely tracks this year (Serbia and the Czech Republic being the only two). You have rock, dance, pop, eastern music and rather a lot of ballads this year, so there should be something to please everyone. It's a nice mix and easy to listen to in the background, so a worthy addition to anyone's music collection, although a must for Eurovision fans.

i think this is the best eurovision ever and consequently the best eurovision cd!

my faves are denmark, ukraine, netherlands, bosnia and the uk!

but there are SO MANY good tracks!!

Best Eurovision Ever!
Best Eurovision Song Contest ever! Not all of the songs I like, but they're growing on me. Excellent sound quality, excellent songs and spectacular album artwork.

This CD will be the 3rd I've got (others I got 2005, 2008) and find this one the best by far in all areas (sound quality, artwork, songs).

Can't wait to find out which of the 25 songs wins this year!
