Absolutley brilliant album from these finnish metallers. This is their third full album, along with The Spirit of Ukko and Reformation. The songs and music on Kiuas' albums are written by their guitarist Mikko Salovaara. You can tell in this album that his writing style has matured in tracks such as Of Sacrifice, Loss, And Reward, and The Wanderers Lamentation. But there's still the old style in there too with great tracks such as Black Rose Withered and Kiuas War Anthem. Also there is an acoustic track with the lead singer Ilja and his sister singing together, not my favourite track, but its still good. If you haven't got this album yet buy it! They really are the best ..extreme power metal(?) band out there. (not really sure what genre they are lol.) 9.5/10
