    Brilliant product5
I purchased this item after having a Sony Vaio for five years without having any problems with it at all. The only reason for buying a new one was because I am returning to university and my old model has become slow.
This model has great battery life, light and great design. It goes into energy saving mode when it has not been used for 30 minutes. Very easy to use, did not take long to become adjusted to Windows Vista as my old laptop was Windows XP. There is also a button at the front to switch wireless on and off which is quite handy.
I would definitely recommend this product to anyone as having previously owned a Vaio I know that they are very reliable.

Value and Style. A rare combination5
I have waited a while to get used to the VAIO before submitting a review on it. Delivery was superb, typical Amazon, fast accurate and informed all the way.

Once it arrived, I had to wait for a courier to get it to me,I was impressed by its stylish case and curved design. Opening it up, it is a bit stiff. Turning it on it booted quickly and cleanly and the install and personalisation of the setting took only about 20 minutes. The screen is without doubt one of the best screens I have seen. Once windows was installed it revealed all the 'bloatware' that Sony pack with the product. Be careful what you take off and how you do it. It comes shipped with McAfee Anti Virus software, which I detest, so that had to go. If you go to their website you can download a file that removes all traces of McAfee from a system. Look for MCPR.exe. That is the file you need. After that it is plain sailing.

I have left all the VAIO stuff on there as it may come in handy later. At the same time as the laptop purchase I bought a DLink Draft N wireless router from Amazon. I had read that some people have had problems with the setup so went ahead cautiously. There was no need. Followed the instructions setting up the router, turning it on in the order they tell you, after having loaded the install CD, and bingo it fired up, perfectly, first time, in around 5 minutes start to finish. It was that easy. Would I recommend it? Absolutely. If you want the Ferrari of laptops in terms of style, with good features, good price. Then this is for you. Do I have any negatives about it? Yes. The only thing that I find annoying is the keyboard is not mounted direct to the chassis and bounces about a bit if you are heavy handed like me, but that is a minor irritation.

Battery lasts around 2 hours with continous usage so not bad and it does not run too hot.

I would recommend buying a USB Mouse and a must is a case to keep it nice. If you are wondering why I just didn't buy one here in Turkey. Simple, the keyboard is different.

    Great laptop4
Solid performance and good build quality. Not for gamers but great for people who just want word processing, browse the internet and prefer a larger display than a netbook.
