Product Description

26 excellent routes covering a great variety of terrain; circling some of North Wales most beautiful lakes and reservoirs, crisscrossing its wide stretches of forest and mastering heights to glorious views. The routes are accompanied by informative sketch maps and illustrated by black and white photographs and entertaining cartoons. The author focused on the less populated areas of North Wales, aiming to lessen the impact on overused sites. And while adhering to the voluntary cycling ban on Snowdon, the guide shows us how to enjoy this great mountain. Ranging from 10 to 60 km in length, some over flat ground, some with murderous hills, there are routes for the family and the super fit.

Customer Reviews

Poor!1
The title is "North Wales - Mountain Bike Guide". The photo on the front shows a bloke riding a bike on a mountain trail. That's why I bought it. I wanted routes to ride my mountain bike on mountain trails in North Wales. The photo on the back and most of the photos inside show people riding mountain bikes on mountain trails. Whoopee!
D'oh. Of the 614.5 km of routes in this book, 424 km are on ROADS. That's of no use to me whatsoever.
In addition to the fact that the routes are no good, the map at the beginning of the book shows a little plan of North Wales with numbers where all the routes are. Unfortunately, several of the numbers bear no resemblance to the cycle route with the corresponding number. Anglesey is apparently halfway up Mt Snowdon!!! Finding the route you want is quite challenging.
This book is a waste of money.
