Amazon.co.uk Review
Ben Hogan's premise in this 1957 classic is driven home in bold letters: "THE AVERAGE GOLFER IS ENTIRELY CAPABLE OF BUILDING A REPEATING SWING AND BREAKING 80". Religions are founded on less, and Hogan's detailed analyses and illustrated demonstrations of grip, stance, posture and the two basic components of the swing make up a sacred book. Though its very simplicity seems dated, this is the tome of technique that should serve as the foundation of every golf library.

The greatest book ever, by far, on the golf swing
Hogan's book has been continuously in print for over fifty years. Most other golf swing books, in contrast, disappear from print after just a few short years. Hogan's book is exceptionally clear and detailed about all the swing fundamentals. Consequently one can always figure out, when needs must, what's going wrong with one's swing and how to correct it.
Hogan's book is also unique in demonstrating how each swing fundamental links with the others. Other golf swing books, in contrast, tend to be compilations of swing tips. So, where other books provide swing band-aids, Hogan's illuminates and helps develop real understanding.
Hogan's book has been called, rightly in my opinion, 'the bible of the golf swing'. All modern golf swing theorists, as is clear from their writings, just repackage or add footnotes to Hogan.
Go to the source, to the benefit of both swing and understanding, read Hogan's timeless classic.

Genius from Beyond the grave
This book and its simplicity has turned my game around. I have also found that every time I pick it up I learn something new. Superb in its simplicity, but totally relevant even today. Published for the first time 9 years before I was born and found by me a number of years after his death I wonder how he would have felt about the legacy that he left. Respect to Mr Hogan.
