Customer Reviews

The worst guide book I've ever used!1
This book is terrible! Yes it tells you very briefly about places, but not really where they are. I looked up a place then turned to the map reference given, to find I was then given another page number to check, which was useless. I looked at the book several times before traveling and never even found any details how to get from the airport to the city... A must for a starting point I feel. I have used the Rough Guides in the past, with no problems, I will be sticking to them in future! If your going to Berlin use the internet instead of this book..it all you need.

Loved it!4
Took this guide with me when I was in Berlin for a week. Had no problems. Very up to date. Nice explenations about all the sites. Could do with a bit more colour pictures. In my opinion alot better than Timeout.

All the information provided in it was spot on.

A tip for anyone visiting Berlin. Remember to validate your train ticket where you purchase it!

Lonely Planet Guide Berlin2
This stackes up very poorly against the "Rough Guide's". The main problem is the format, rather than list each area & then list all the attractions & facilities in that area it lists all the attractions in categorys: bars, cafes, shows etc are listed alphabetically with their address. The problem being if you are not a native you then have to figure out which area each address is in. I Have used "Rough Guides" many times all over the world & find them much easier to follow & much more use in locating what I needed.
