We would've been lost without this!
Just got back from New York and had bought prior to going. It was the single most important thing we carried everywhere with us in order to get around manhatten, not only is it detailed but has all the main tourist attractions labelled all in colour. it's nice and compact so you're not unfolding a huge map in the middle of the street every 5 minutes.on the back theres also a subway map to get which was a great bonus too! I totally reccomend buying this if you go to NYC for the first time best £3 i spent! great value for money.

Fabulous pocket guide
This little 3 part map was invaluable on my recent trip to NY: I didn't bother taking my bulky guide book out with me once I'd worked out my plan for the day. It has lots of detail, from museums, clubs and shops and although you'd still want a book to tell you about all the quirky little places you might otherwise miss, if you're happy to wander (and let's face it, Manhattan is best explored by just wandering around and seeing where you end up)it's all you need.
The 3 parts are handy - lower Manhattan, Midtown and Upper Manhattan - with extra sections for Greenwich Village, Harlem and the Times square area. This means you don't have to look like an archetypal tourist with a huge map flapping all over the place but instead can sneak surreptitious looks whilst pretending to be a native.
Absolutely worth its weight in gold - I wouldn't go without this little map.

This is a cute little map that folds up very small but opens up to provide a very useful map of NYC.
