Customer Reviews
'The Original and Not the Best'
The promising looking smiley faces and luminous cover lured me into buying this one. Despite 'Move Any Mountain' by the Shamen (one of my all-time favourites), the overall feel of this compilation is that while some classics have been chosen, some really cheesy non-classics have been squeezed on just to give the pathetic tracks another go this time round. Yes, K-Klass, Nomad and Mantronix (and of course, the Shamen) are amazing, Cut 'n' Move and DNA (not Tom's Diner, by the way) really aren't. You can't be nostalgic about something you've never heard of before!
I didn't even touch the second volume, which had even more cheek to include a pathetic 14 tracks.... but two more Shamen tracks are included...
