Since Sheffield Wednesday FC was formed in 1867, somewhere in the region of 1,000 players have been registered with the club. This book recalls the careers and achievements of each and every one of them - from club stalwarts to those who made just a handful of first-team appearances. Anyone who supported the club in the 1930s will remember the skills of Jack Brown, Mark Hooper and Walter Millership. Whilst fans from the 1940s and '50s cheered on the likes of Redfern Froggatt, Derek Dooley, Jackie Sewell and Dennis Woodhead, those from the 1960s and '70s enthused over Johnny Fantham, Willie Henderson, Ron Springett and Peter Swan. There are, of course, also today's supporters who, it must be said, haven't had a great deal to shout about in recent years but have stood by the club through thick and thin and have had the pleasure of watching some excellent players in action. All these are featured in this book. Featuring biographies, statistics and selected illustrations, this book is both a fascinating read and an essential point of reference.

Inferior Product
This book is completely pointless. A couple of years ago a much better version of this book was released and is still available from the club shop. That is 'The Wednesday Boys' by Jason Dickinson and John Brodie. It is twice the money but it's 10 times better.
A real shame!
