`...a horrible history of `prehistoric' people - people who existed in those happy times before `history' was invented......'
`History can be horrible.
And the further back in time you go, the more horrible it becomes in some ways!
Of course not everyone believes this!
Some people would quite like the idea of time travel.
They'd like to go back in time and live in another age.
An age without homework, global warming and mad cow disease......
What you need is a book that will tell you the truth about the savagery of the `Stone Age`.
What you need is a horrible history of `prehistoric' people - people who existed in those happy times before `history' was invented......'
A witty, colourful cover opens to 128 pages, split over 10 chapters:-
Stone Age timeline
Awful for animals
Foul food
Groovy games
Batty beliefs
Test your teacher
Awful archaeologists
Lousy life
Rotten rituals
Stone Age spooks
with an introduction and an epilogue.
Written with the typical Deary humour and illustrations from Martin Brown throughout.
Extremely Funny
An extremely funny book covering what seemed like most of the history of the Stone Age.Very good for young children and I recomend this book to anyone between the age of 5 and 15 who is interested in the Stone Age.
Absolutely superb
It tells you about history in a funny way.It is very good in the way it tells you about things the teachers don't tell you. At first it will give you the creeps but when you get used to it, it is very entertaining and i was reading it for days upon end.The introduction gets you right into the book and what it's about. The epilogue at the end leads you into reading the next book in the series.
