Customer Reviews
Super value high performing graphics card.
I have previously purchased a lower specification version of this card Sapphire 11125-02-21R Radeon HD 3450 256MB LP PCI E 2.0 Graphics Card and was delighted with its performance so I decided to try the more powerful HDMI version when I upgraded my TV.
Importantly this card has low profile brackets supplied with it so I am able to use it in my Media PC that uses half-height cards. The card is also silent as there is no fan onboard, just a well designed heat sink.
The card is simplicity itself to set up in Windows Vista (I'm using 64bit) and has the benefit of working with my Linux distro (Mythbuntu) with little effort. The support on the ATI website appears comprehensive but I haven't had occasion to need help so far.
The HDMI interface is perfect for hooking up with my plasma screen and carries audio as well as video, something that is an issue when you use a DVI-I to HDMI adapter/cable with many other cards.
The quality of the video is first class - 512Mb and DDR3 is easily able to keep up with my PC BlueRay player and the inclusion of Unified Video Decoder (UVD) allows the viewing of encrypted Blue-ray discs.
This is a stunningly good card at a bargain price that makes the most of big screens.
