    Showing its age1
I got my hands on one of these a few months back. I used it for a few weeks before the negatives outweighed the positives and i stuck it in a drawer. For a start it is way too heavy and clunky. The buttons are all tiny and squashed towards the bottom of the phone. Only people with the nimblest of fingers could use it with any ease. The phone doesn't hold a charge for long if you use it for anything other than texting and it's instability means that you are forever having to reset it. The camera is extraordinarily poor and can't compare with even the cheapest of camera phones. The only plus i can think of is the intuitive menu system, but you can get that on any Nokia! All in a poor phone and not worth £100.00 +.

Has everything but lacks efficiency in common functions3
It's too much of "taking a chance" when spending all this money for a phone that has good features, but is too awkward to really get great pleasure out of. NokiaN70 is a bit like a supermodel.Nice to look at but not really useful for the most practical function...voice calls.
Moreover, in order to really appreciate this phone, you need to have a massive memory card. The 64MB supplied card is small change.

    Promising - but must improve2
I chose this phone back in Feb 06 as it was the best 3 had on offer on my contract. As one of the first 2 megapixel phones and offering 3G, it seemed like a wise choice.

However this phone needs a lot of work to get up to scratch.

Firstly, the size. It is far too chunky to be kept in a pocket, and even though it is a 3G phone there was still room to budge surely in terms of the casing.

Secondly, it keeps turning itself off and on again. My housemate works for Orange and informs me this is a common problem, and many N70s have been returned. Unfortunately many N73s have also been returned and these are supposedly the advance on the N70.

Often you will be in the middle of a long call (20mins plus) and the phone will simply cut out the call, leaving you bemused as to what has happenned.

The menus are slow and clunky and often the camera takes a while to engage, rather annoying when you want to take a quick shot.

On the plus side, the camera is excellent and picture quality superb. The video mode leaves a little to be desired but is still a nice feature.

The promises are all there - video calls, camera, 3G etc but ultimately the N70 fails to deliver.
