Bargain4
I bought this as my first smartphone, mostly on the basis of reasonably good web reviews, and the very low price. I use it mostly for email on the road and receiving/making an occasional call. For emailing it works flawlessly and the keypad works really well once you get the hang of the smallish keys. The calendar syncs well with my work server and the signal reception is generally excellent. The only real fault that I can find with this phone is the battery life. With regular emailing, a few calls and some MP3 listening, the battery can drain very quickly. This is partially remedied by the provision of a second battery so it has never been a real problem. As a consequence of the small battery, the phone is very thin and light and can easily be carried about in a pocket. The call quality is also not spectacular but it is significantly improved when using the supplied hands free kit. In summary, this phone is a bargain but is probably not ideal for high intensity business use.

Great phone5
I have the i320 for business use and it is perfect. I was reluctant to order it as I have a Samsung U600 for personal use which is awful; poor build quality and useless UI - form over function. However the i320 is very solidly built, very reassuring to hold. The keypad is surprisingly easy to use for both phone (numeric) and QWERTY (e-mail/SMS) use. The UI is very good, the screen is fantastic and not only that but as a Smartphone it is open to myriad software add-ons.

The second battery with its own charger is genius although like the previous respondant mine stays plugged into the PC most of the time where it both charges but also stays synched to my Outlook e-mails and calendar in real time. It will run push e-mail over GPRS but only if your network admin sets up the Outlook server to do so. No matter, you can either do scheduled wireless synching or, like me, just synch manually when you want to see what mail you have. And you can synch over IRDA if you have forgotten your cable and don't want to use GPRS. Being charged by USB cable means that you can use one of those USB/three-pin plug outlet chargers to charge it (so if I travel I can use the same charger for my iPod, i320, wife's BlackBerry and other USB-charged items).

The camera works, but that's not something I use. The only issue I have is that the various ports (USB and headphones) have flimsy plastic covers. They look like they might come off (although so far so good, around 9 months) but it means that there's no "docking station" option like a PDA or another Smartphone might have. Also there's no case available for it (that I could find). However it has lived in my pocket or on my desk and is still looking fresh. It's thin too; surprisingly thin and slips right in a pocket without bulging. I've attracted many a jealous glance from BlackBerry wielding colleagues. I was initially jealous of their ability to access the company's Global Address Book via BlackBerry Connect, but then found that Microsoft do an add-on for Windows Mobile to look up your GAL contacts via GPRS, so long as you configure the access on the phone. After I installed that it became all the business phone/organiser I could want.

After initially expecting a cheap, plastic phone I am very, very impressed.

Samsung i3204
This is a smart phone running windows mobile 5. I required a phone and organiser in one with a full keyboard. It has a 1.3 MP camera and the pictures are look enough for a phone. If I need something better I use a proper camera. It has a MP3 player built in. Looks good for a smartphone. Not the latest style, but then it would be 3 times the price.
It does the job well, it eats the batteries but they provide 2 and to be honest as it spends most of the week plugged into my PC via the USB then it charges from there and I have not had to use the second battery yet.
It does has blue tooth and infra red as well.
One downside is the USB cable and earphones connect in on the right hand side. As I use it was my main phone for working during the day it means I tended to dial with my left hand. This was easy to adapt to as the keys are good especially for dialing as they have group 4 keys together for numbers.
The software is windows with some samsung add on. It can view office documents but not edit. Might be a problem for some.
Texting with it is good for those of us who never got use to pressing the same button 3 times for a letter. Also having a full organiser is a major benefit.

The memory expansion card is under the battery, a nuisance if you need to change it, but I brought a 2GB card so not something I expect to do often.
Using ActiveSync you can update organiser with outlook and browse the memory.

Overall, I gave it a 4, not the latest phone but every phone soon gets superceded. Does anything I expect from smartphone except edit documents, but I will look for addons for that. Battery life could be an issue for road warriors but for me I have finally synced all my calendars into one place. Great.
