Manufacturer's Description
Protected by the crystals of light, the once peaceful land has forever been changed by the great tremor. Without warning, the earthquake pulled the crystals into the earth, upsetting the world's fragile balance. It seems as if all hope is lost but as the Gulgan prophecy foretold, four souls blessed with the light shall once again restore balance to the world.

Near the small village of Ur, fate guides Luneth to a sentient crystal that changes his life forever. As the light of the crystal fades, Luneth embarks on a journey to seek three others who share his destiny to search for the remaining crystals, and fight the battle of light and darkness.

Great graphics and very playable4
I've been playing this game for about 20 hours so far and I have no idea how far I'm into it. But the graphics are lovely. The little team that you control is really cute and watching the cut scenes when 'important' events happen is quite entertaining.

There are quite a few character classes (or 'jobs' in Final Fantasy world) to choose from. Only a few of these are open to you to begin with, but I got offered a new batch of job classes about 8 hours into the game and then another batch about 4 or 5 hours later.

The battles are a little repetitive - and I find that all I need to do is hit the 'attack' key rather than do anything terribly subtle. So that's why I've given this only a 3 out of 5 star rating for fun. It is good fun - but I'm now playing more because I want to find out what happens in the end. The battles are more of an impediment to my completion of the game rather than something incredibly fun that I am *desperate* to complete.

Good music and decent sound effects.

Would I recommend? Yes, overall. But it's a *good* game rather than one of the best I have ever played.

Great Game5
this is my second ever final fantasy game i have brought and its amazing at the beggining its a bit confusing but after the 1st dungeon everythings fine the storyline is nice and simple (so far...) i would reccomend reading the whole instruction book first before you start playing the game im not sure how long the game is im only 8 hours in to it.
this game is amazing if you like rpg's you should like this game
just buy it.

Can be a bit repetitive, but stunning graphics4
For a DS, the graphics 4 this game are great! I was amazed by the movie scene at the start and expected more as i played through the game. salfy this wasnt the case. And the story was flat and was again like other classic ff games, involves crystals and the characters lack individuality. But something must have been good for me to play it till the end. Perhaps it was the thought that perhaps the storyline would get more intriguing as i got further? although it honestly didnt.

The bosses werent all that challenging. even the end boss was too easy. But then again, i kinda sat for a while building up the characters before the last battle...

with XII renvant wings coming out, that looks promising. lets hope the storys good..
