Let of some steam.
Half-Life 2 Episode 2 is great. Portal is great. Steam is the bane of my life. Done.
Fantastic fun in an excellent value box!
I have to confess, I have only played a little bit of the Episode 2 part, it keeps making me quite jittery, so I'm putting off finishing it until I feel brave enough!
I have played Portal to it's conclusion, and had a quick go at the extra levels but not looked at them so much. As I'm sure has been covered in depth, it's a fantastic game, laugh out loud funny at points, with an excellent game mechanic and interesting puzzles. I found this game really fun, and easily completable in an afternoon, and very fun. I think the length of the game was pretty much perfect.
I absolutely love Team Fortress 2. It's an excellent online multiplayer. It is very easy to pick up and play, it is very user friendly, explaining maps and how they work with video, and describing the classes, as well as providing tips and statistics as you play to help you along. It doesn't have the frustration of Counter Strike and the like, where the best players totally dominate without you having a change of making your mark (at least IMO). Each class has it's strengths and weaknesses, and if a particular player is bothering you, you can just change class and aim for their weak spot. Play is fast and furious, all the classes work together to achieve the goal (whether it be Capture the Flag or Capture Point goals). For me, the Orange Box was worth it's price for this alone, but Portal was also excellent.
