The worms are able to travel up and down the wormery through perforated holes in the bottom of each tray. This also allows a liquid feed to collect in the sump at the bottom of the wormery. Can o worms Composter
This is a fantastic bit of kit, but you need to take care in the initial stages to ensure you have a happy working worm population. After setting up the wormery, add food little but often, try not to over feed the composter or you'll just be left with a stinking mess. If you feed them little and often in the early days your worm population will grow steadily. A useful accesory for this bin is a Bokashi kithchen composter which speeds up the decaying of food waste before emptying it into your worm composter (worms only eat rotting food waste)and your worms will love you for it. The compost the worms produce is excellent quality, the best you can get and also its so interesting seeing the worms turning your waste into compost gold!!
