Synopsis
Sarah Beeny from Property Ladder is an incurable matchmaker now running her own successful dating website mysinglefriend.com. In her irreverent and witty guide to modern dating, Sarah takes the reader through the dating minefield offering tips, advice and reassurance along the way. Sarah Beeny, a self-confessed meddler in her friends' love lives set up mysinglefriend.com with her childhood friend Amanda Christie and together they created the cult dating website MySingleFriend.com. In this book they guide the reader through the dating/relationship cycle in their tongue in cheek, irreverent yet approachable manner. From the life of a singleton, Sarah guides you through the whole crazy dating cycle - from meeting people; going on dates; meeting your partner's friends; getting stuck into a relationship - or not; to wading your way through dumping or being dumped and starting again, just a little bit older, hopefully just a little bit wiser but most importantly with a bit more of a cheeky smile on your face.

Rather than offering staid and condescending advice on how to bag a partner, Sarah and Amanda take the reader by the hand and laughs with them about what it is really like out on the dating front line offering words of practical advice in a light-hearted manner and sprinkled with real stories from people on their website. The ultimate message is that whatever you're going through, others have been through it too, that being single rocks and that dating should not be scary, but funny, and just a little bit fabulous!

Customer Reviews

Ms Beeny, you're SO naughty!5
I boguht this little beauty mainly because all my best buds have read it and they all said it was top banana. They were right. This is full of really great dating tips, but done in a tongue-in-cheek, not-patronizing way. Plus, if you're single it won't make you feel like a leper. All good so far. But the best thing is it's really, really funny. I had to check the cover. Sarah Beeny? Who does the property stuff on TV? Whoever knew she had such a WICKED (and I mean wicked) sense of humour. Almost every page had me laughing out loud on the Tube. Once, a woman even asked me what it was I was reading I was laughing so much.
So, thanks very much, Sarah, my fave book in AGES. Now to go out and try some of the advice...

The funniest book I've read in ages , and very informative too!!5
I think most people who are contemplating reading this book will know Sarah from the property ladder programmes, seen on TV. So, you will know she's very down to earth, is excellent at getting her point across while keeping the conversation at the right level, and most male viewers I think would agree she's rather stunning!
I read this book not knowing quite what to expect, and the first thing that hit me was the humour in which the book was written. Not only is the language down to earth (as one would expect from Sarah) and everything to the point, but I was laughing right the way through reading it, and once I had picked it up, couldn't put it down!
The book also does stress a number of points, which we can all learn from. I strongly recommend that anyone who is single, or not happy in their relationship, read this book!

If i wasn't married....5
I'm married, but I can't resist this sort of thing. If I was still on the pull, this is the book I would have wanted to have had beforehand. It's hilarious and jam-packed with tips and a chat-up line for every occasion. I was laughing out loud about Sarah's comments on getting, keeping and dumping. This is one for my girlfriends and I'll be recommending it. More than a couple could use the help to polish up their flirting techniques and just fancies a giggle over the do's and don'ts of dating.

But maybe the most important tip for them from Ms Beeny is that it's not that bad being single! A fab read. Five stars!!!
