Welcome back to New York City's glamorous Upper East Side, where the uptown girls get everything - and everyone - they want. Nabbing the latest Marc Jacobs bag or your best friend's boyfriend isn't always pretty, but it's always pretty cool. It's almost graduation and the lives of New York's private high school elite are really heating up. Everyone's got into college and it's clearly time to party - not that they haven't been doing plenty of that already! Blair and Nate's relationship has moved on to a new level - but will the love affair continue? Or will Nate's love affair with his bong get in the way? Will Blair finally get into Yale? Or will Nate and Serena hook up in New Haven and leave Blair alone in the city? And as for the juiciest gossip of all, what's this rumour about Jenny leaving Constance Billard to go to boarding school? Only time will tell how everyone will end up, but one thing's for sure: love is in the air, and it smells a lot like Gucci envy.

Review
'Fabulous - funny and tight as a boob tube' Observer 'We love the Gossip Girl series...there's enough gossip, back-stabbing and bitching to character assassinate the entire population of Manhattan. But all done over a lovely cup of skinny latte or three in the cute neighbourhood coffee house. These girls could write Carrie's Sex and the City column in their sleep' Elle Girl 'A literary phenomenon... teenagers, it seems, can't get enough of her controversial Gossip Girl Books' Daily Telegraph
About the Author
Cecily von Ziegesar herself attended one of the smart private schools in Manhattan, New York, and, as a result, much contained within the tales told in Gossip Girl rings with great authenticity.
Customer Reviews
New York at it's best
This series is brilliant, the books keep you reading and leave you always wanting more, I love all the charecters no matter how wild they get and how mean they are, you can never get enough of these books, they never loose their flow or storyline and keep getting better. I can't wait till the next one, I only hope there are many more to come!
It's okay
When I first started reading the gossip girl series, I thought they were brilliant. It offered excitement, betrayal and friendship, among other things. But as the series has progressed, it seems Cecily von Ziegesar has run out of ideas. The will-they-won't-they relationship of Blair and Nate/ Serena and Nate has begun to get irritating, and the constant shakiness of Blair and Serena's friendship, likewise Vanessa and Dan's relationship, is off-putting. This book, like the last few, has become rather predictable and didn't get me hooked in quite the same way as they did initially.
That said, I still got some enjoyment out of reading it, as the writing style is enticing and funny- and I will continue to read the series if only to find out the true identity of gossip girl! The only other thing that saved this book was Jenny, who has remained charming in all her ignorant youth. The author has made the right decision to follow up this series with a spin-off about Jenny (The It Girl).
If you enjoyed the last few books prior to this one, you'll probably like this one too. But if, like me, you've begun getting bored by them, don't expect much change here.
simply the best books money can buy!
i was first introduced to the gossip girl books when my mum bought me the first gossip girl book for my 16th birthday and at first i just thought another book..until i started reading it! now i own all the gossip girl books out and cant get enough! its one of those books where you cant put the book down you just have to keep on reading page after page and before you know it your done and ready to read the next one! i would reccomend this to anyone you wont regret it! just make sure you start from the first book so you get the storyline! x
