Tired of looking for Mr Right when all she wanted was casual fun, Dawn Porter placed an ad online to see what handsome, wealthy and charming men would respond to her request for surprising nights out and possibly more. Nine months later and the results make for jaw-dropping reading. A cast of characters you couldn't invent do their best to impress Ms Porter with their wit, wisdom and physical attributes. With nicknames like the 'very clever wolf' and the 'big bumbino', these would-be suitors' antics read like a modern comedy of sexual manners. Not content with looking for lust with cute guys, Ms Porter explores her 'bi-curious' side and builds up to a liaison with a couple. With a taste for fancy restaurants, fine wines and men who make her laugh, Dawn's dates are a bang-up-to-the minute look at modern dating from a clued-up young woman with her eyes on the prize. The question is, will she actually fall for any of her dates?

Customer Reviews
Oh dear!!
I read this book in an afternoon on holiday. It had been left (unsurprisingly) by a previous guest. Oh dear.
It is boring, badly written, dull, self-obsessed, repetitive nonsense. It is unenlightening, totally unerotic and very childish.
I'm an open minded chap but can only think that the main market for this book is trashy magazine reading illiterates or (soon to be disappointed)men looking for titillation. Sad and rubbish.
A bit sad really
I feel hesitant to recommend this book as in many ways it seems to be an account of a rather mean fraud upon men. The author puts out an invitation on the internet which appears to hold some romantic promise, gets men to pay out for very expensive meals out (e.g. at The Ivy) and then goes home to riducule some of them for the purposes of making money from this book. The sexual content was rather thin as was the humour. It does however serve as a bit of a warning to men hence I give it one star. This book should really be titled 'The Freeloading Feminist'. One poor sap even paid for Ms Porter to have a week wining and dining in New York for little or nothing in return.
Sexy and fun!
I bought this book because I've seen Dawn Porters series on BBC3 and I think she is really funny. There is nothing fake about her-what you see is what you get.
I read this book in one evening-it's funny, sexy and witty.
A must read for all you girlies!
