Great draughts board.........very poor playing pieces!
I am very pleased with the board as it has a solid, attractive look and feel. The playing pieces, however, look disappointingly cheap and nasty. They are lightweight and do not interlock when 'crowned'. This means that when my grandchildren play the game, it is too easy for them to inadvertently knock pieces out of position and this can cause arguements. It does say on the box in small print that 'colours and content may vary' but this was not visible from looking at the picture online. The playing pieces look as if they belong to a cheaper draughts set altogether and I had deliberately sought a reasonable quality set. I shall now have to look around to see if I can buy a set of playing pieces that do justice to the good quality of the board, but I should not have to do this. For these reasons, I shall avoid this manufacturer in future.

Could be better...
This is a very basic draughts set and will do exactly what it says on the box, though it would be better if it were a tin; since there is no on-board storage for the pieces and they could quickly become lost. Also the pieces themselves are very light-weight and diminutive, and therefore not that nice to handle - this takes away some of the pleasure of playing this classic game.
