Although best suited for older toddlers, this is my favourite children's book. In its own ingenious way, it addresses children's fear of the night and what happens when it becomes dark by explaining what would happen if the dark didn't exist. Alexandra Junge's pensive illustrations - particularly those of the sun and moon - are sure to enchant.
