Product Description

We all love our pets, but the mess caused by their shedding can be frustrating to say the least!? FURminator is a de-shedding tool with a difference. Its stainless steel blade works by grabbing and removing the loose undercoat hair without affecting the top-coat in any way, meaning your pet sheds far less. Simply use the FURminator once or twice a week, for around 10-20mins a time, to reduce your pet's shedding by up to 90%, leaving you with the simple task of cleaning up the hair you've removed rather than trying to pick it off your sofa.FURminator treatments are NOT recommended for the following breeds of cat: BalineseBombay, Cornish Rex, Devon Rex, European Burmese, Havana Brown, Javanese, Korat, LaPerm, Oriental, Ragamuffin, Singapura (Depends on coat), Sphynx, Tiffany-Chantilly, Turkish Angora, Turkish Van, York Chocolate

Customer Reviews

Byebye fur cloud!4
I've tried a number of combs on my super-shedding cat, so I was skeptical about the claims for this tool. However, it really does grab an astonishing amount of dead undercoat, more than you'd imagine from looking at it or even handling it. It looks as though it'll be a job to get through the coat but no, it works like a dream. No effort required.

Pros:
* really does comb out astonishing amounts of fur
* leaves coat smooth and silky, not flattened/greased the way some combs do
* cat appeared to enjoy it, unlike some combs which make her sore

Cons:
* it's pretty heavy, so can be tiring to use for more than a couple of minutes
* comb your pet somewhere where it'll be easy to clean up clouds of fur
* expensive! (You get what you pay for?)

Wow!5
This is incredible! I was initially hesitant to buy as it's not cheap, but then looked on the US Amazon and discovered over 450 reviews with the vast majority giving 5 stars.
(The manufacturer also states on the packaging that there is a 28 day money back guarantee if your not satisfied).
Having 5 long haired cats (Maine Coons), the house had become covered in fur. I could no longer wear black or dark colors as my clothes were covered in silver grey cat hair . . which really shows up.
The Furminator is great. It does what it says and moves A LOT of excess hair. Much Much Much more than any other tool I have tried, and I have tried many.
I've found that in 2 minutes of brushing with the Furminator, I have got more dead hair out than I have ever managed to get out with any other other brush or comb.
The cats are now shedding less and the house and my clothes, are looking infinitely better.

And the cat loves it too5
I suppose like many other people I have lived with (Never owned) pets which hate being groomed.

Funny enough at the moment I am without a pet. But the two cats which live next door have no problem walking in and making themselves at home. Anyway its summer and I appear to have more cat hairs on my actual person than the quadrupeds in question.

Anyway after seeing one of the cats hacking out fur on a regular basis I decided to do something about it. Reading the replies on Amazon was a boon, whilst I was somewhat apprehensive about dishing out so much money for a cat which doesn't even belong to me, something about having cat hairs on my keyboard as I typed (then as in now) pushed me in the direction of purchasing it.

Well it arrived today and on opening the package I crept into the front room where one of the culprits slept. I was somewhat shocked to find the cat actually enjoyed being groomed, to be honest 'shocked' shouldn't be the adjective to use as he was purring away louder than a cat with two ****s.(And he's a Ginger Tom)

Mind you I should have taken heed of the advice which suggested I groom the pet outside, don't know where it all came from but I cropped enough fur from the cat to fill a pillow case , that took about 5 minutes and the cat was as happy as Larry. It's early days so can't comment if the use of this brush will curtail the problem I have with cat hairs. But seeing as my bin has around half a cat in there,I think I may have hit on a solution to cat hairs all over the gaff.

OK the bad points.
Who picked the colour?

Other than that, I cannot fault this cat brush. If you are in the market for a new brush, you couldn't go far wrong with this one.
