Manufacturer's Description

Live the digital life in stylish simplicity. Just 16.5 cm (6.5 inches) square and 5 cm (2 inches) tall, Mac mini provides what you need to have more fun with your music, photos and movies — right out of the box. The most affordable Mac ever.

Get a Mac for Less
The modular design of Mac mini lets you upgrade your current system to the elegance, simplicity and reliability of Macintosh. Bring your own keyboard, mouse and display: if you already own a monitor, keyboard and mouse, you can get up and running in minutes. Or choose any combination of new devices to match your setup. And yes, Mac mini will take advantage of your two-button USB mouse with scroll-wheel and your existing USB keyboard. Just plug them in.

Connect your USB keyboard and mouse. Then hook up your DVI or VGA display (adaptor included). Plug in, turn on and say hello to Mac OS X, the world’s most advanced operating system.

Best Operating System At Any Price
Discover the world’s most advanced operating system on the world’s most affordable Mac. Every Mac mini comes standard with critically acclaimed Mac OS X Tiger, which includes Spotlight, the lightning-fast search tool that lets you find anything on your system as fast as you type, and Dashboard, the home to amazing widgets that access timely information such as News or TV listings. (News and TV listing widgets are not included with Mac mini, but available from third parties via free download.)

It Just Works
iPod and iTunes work great together. So why not take it to the next level with Mac mini and iLife, the powerful digital life software that lets you organise and share your photographs with ease. Or connect your digital camcorder to Mac mini and start editing your masterpiece. Or plug in your electric guitar or keyboard and make music. The combination of Mac OS X Tiger and iLife makes it effortless and fun to make stuff.

Inexpensive, But Never Cheap
All that, and not an inch of wasted space. Apple engineers designed this small wonder from the ground up to deliver the most Mac for the least dinero. Inside its petite 5 cm (2-inch) tall, 16.5 cm (6.5-inch) square anodised aluminium enclosure, Mac mini houses a super fast G4 processor, large hard drive, a slot-loading optical drive, 512MB DDR SDRAM and ATI Radeon 9200 graphics chip with 32MB dedicated DDR SDRAM — all whisper-quiet.

Connect your digital devices, such as cameras, iPod, printer, camcorder or keyboard to the Mac mini over USB 2.0 or FireWire. A headphone/audio line-out jack lets you listen to stereo sound.

Rearrange the Furniture, Anytime
Believe it or not, all this technology weighs just 1.4 kg (2.9 pounds). Imagine… a desktop computer you can easily move from the lounge to the kitchen on a whim. Mac mini won’t break your back when you want to shuffle things around.

Enchanting Enhancements
That means you can surf wirelessly with an AirPort Extreme Card and use wireless keyboards and mice with internal Bluetooth.

The Mac mini. Everything you ever wanted, nothing you don’t need.

forget about windows once u turn mac u don't look bac5
i bought the mac mini as a intro into os x and macs in genral and at £500 it was the best option. As a long term user of windows i was set in my ways but soon got used of the better and more efficient mac opperating system. I found the mini quick and easy to use it spanks my 2 ghz p4 1024 mb ram system and u can't say much more than that. But i hav'nt tried gaming on it only fm 2006.
But the true brilliance of the mini is its size and design which is genius. To fit all that into a wonderful tiny case which just looks great. It has to be seen to be believed.

This is a former windows person talking here 'long live the mac, death to windows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

    Apple Mini Mac4
Had a Mini Mac for about a year now. I use it in my living room with my plasma screen as a monitor. Never had a mac before but the o/s is really good, and there's no nasty viruses to worry about.

The mini looks fantastic, so much better than all those boring windows pc's.

The only problem I found is the mini only has two usb ports, and you have to use one of them for the keyboard and mouse.

The Mini Mac costs lees than five hundred pounds, which is a real bargain, and it's a great introduction into the world of the Mac.
