An Excellent TV Stand
This Optimum TV stand is teriffic TV value for the money. It is basic and very conventional looking but still looks smart with the black glass shelves and chrome look legs. It is especially useful if you are trying to fit a stand into a tight space. It is easy assemble with the instructions supplied though you assemble it upside down which feels a bit odd at first but it all works out. One point which you might need to check is that the depth - 40 cm - may not easily accomodate some DVD players, recorders etc. because of the cable tidy at the back. Otherwise at this price it would be difficult to find anything else that does the job as well.

Fantastic Product
Bought this product after looking at several on this site that were very similar. Decided on this as seemed better quality than a similar £63 one which wasn't chrome (I presume plastic type legs). Bearing in mind it is going to hold a heavy tv (Flats screens are still fairly heavy).

Was delivered in two days and can honestly say that it is very high quality, toughen glass on all shelves solid chrome legs as advertised, & it was very well packaged, so no problem with scratching or breakage.

It took me just 10 minutes to build, very easy anyone could do it, instructions very clear & simple (you build upside down). Gets very dusty quickly, so after building give a good clean with glass cleaner.

The only negative point I could make, is that it is advertised for sets upto 37" which ours is, I would say even though it has no problem holding it, 5 inches either side sticks out. The stand is 70cm in width and the tv is about 95cm in width. I would best say suited to sets upto 32".

Overall excellent value for money and a high quality product.

Update 25/10/08 we have in fact sold this item on & have ordered the TV900 which gives another 20cm width for bigger flat screens. Our 37" will look better on this. The difference in price is minimal as the TV700 comes through another supplier & has P&P added the TV900 is direct from Amazon & free shipping.
