Approached with trepidation but worth the perserverence!
I was really nervous about trying out one of these having shaved the majority of the time and little success at self waxing. On the encouragement of my work collegues I took the plunge last week for myself (and my daughter who is just reaching puberty and feeling self conscious). Though it does hurt to use , I rate pain against giving birth and it is no where near that bad so I'll cope with it. My daughter has dared to give it a go after a lot of hesitation (she has zero pain tolerance), and though theres been some moaning shes finding it bearable.
I haven't used it as a wet epilator yet but as a dry one it works though the areas need going over a number of times to get stubborn hairs. Skin was red and blothcy but by the next day, as smooth as a babies....
I would highly recommend and wish I had started using one years ago. Excellent product, smartly packged and designed and if all else fails, its got a shaver head attachment too!

patience is a virtue
Have been an avid fan of epilating and having been through two braun silk epils I figured I would try another brand, as the braun don't seem to last very long before the motor grinds to a halt and you are unable to thoroughly clean the properly.
Well although the wet approach appeals, it is unbelievably time consuming. It took at least double the normal time to do my legs and I'm not particularly hairy. The second and most important point is that this epilator tends to snap the hair instead of pulling it out from the root, therefore making it pretty pointless as you end up with stubble.
I would not recommend this product and will be inclined to look for another.

Foam idea nice but cordess not so practical
Initially I wrote a very positive review about the ES2057 but have deleted it and I'm replacing it with this one as my views have changed.

When I bought this epilator I couldn't find any reviews but decided to go for it anyway as it seemed to have everything I was looking for.

The epilating with foam seems less painful though doesn't pick up all the hairs. When done I have to go over it again dry and also take of the hair protector so it grabs the tiniest hairs. Taking the skin protector off does mean that the blades go a bit slower due to the pressure on the leggs and have the idea this wears the battery out quicker.

The wet shaving seems very nice especially for under the arms, which makes it less painful. However I have to add that I had them waxed twice prior to using the epilator, which might have made it less painful too.

The shaver head is handy to trim hair which is too long to epilate.

Eventhough it says it's waterproof I don't use it in the shower as I think it'd be a bit of a waste of water so just do it at the basin or in a chair with a bowl of water and the shower gel next to me to keep it wet and foamy.

It's relatively easy to clean by rinsing it under running water or with the brush.

One big minor point, and that is the reason I'm giving it just 2 stars, is the fact that you can only use it as a cordless. With a cordless use of 30-40 min. this can be a bit frustrating if you haven't finished yet because you have to charge it first for 12 hours before you can continue. So requires planning and not doing everything at once.
