Average customer review:Product Description
This best-selling and highly-praised book provides a practical and clinically useful introduction to echo - much of which is easy - for those who will be using, requesting and possibly interpreting it in the future. The book is aimed particularly at doctors in training and medical students. It has been proved of great use to other groups, including qualified physicians, general practitioners, cardiac technicians, nurses and paramedics.
In the book the author explains the echo techniques available, what an echo can and cannot give, and - importantly - puts echo into a clinical perspective. It is by no means intended as a complete textbook of echo and some aspects are far beyond its scope (e.g., complex congenital heart disease and paediatric echo).
The sections are ordered with the techniques most often used to diagnose a particular clinical problem explained first. The final chapter deals with special clinical situations.
"Unquestionably achieves the author's aim . and does so with consummate ease."

Eyes were opened to echocardiography
Great little book to get a basic grounding in Echo. This book should not be used as your only source of reference if sitting the British Society of Echo accreditation but however gives a good interpretation of the basics in echo for the early learner and the physician requesting the test.
Echo Made Easy
This is a fantastic book!! It is certainly essential reading for anyone learning about echo - doctors, technicians, medical students etc. It covers areas relating to clinical aspects of heart disease (e.g causes of murmurs, endocarditis etc) which are practical and often missing from such books. BUT it is also excellent even for those experienced in echo for use as a refresher and reference source in pocket-size. It has 'normal values' and the figures and illustrations are very good and clear and clinically useful.
It is very well written in an accessible style. It was very well reviewed in British Journal of Cardiology and with good reason. This is one of the best medical books I have ever bought and I cannot recommend it highly enough!
This book is for ECHO, what "ECG made easy" is for ECGs
A brilliant book...
The art of echocardiography is bewildering to those not familiar with the field.
If you're baffled (as I was) by the investigation technique, its uses and its limitations, then this is the book for you!
A miniature book that will sort you out in no time, taking your cardiology skills one giant step further. Great for all levels!
