A comprehensive companion book on adult echocardiography.
Echocardiography has become an extension of physical examination in cardiology. Therefore there has been a need for a book small in volume, concise and yet has all the up to date information in easily assimable format on the subject. Otto's second edition, textbook of clinical echocardiography meets this end. It starts with basic physics of ultrasound and format for examination, then disease wise chapters and finally ends with congenital heart diseases in adults. This book is a must as companion for serious echocardiographers and echo-cardiologists.
Excellent textbook
For both beginners and experienced operators alike this is an excellent textbook, that not only explains, basic processes and techniques but also provides examples of calculations, reference values and explanations. There is also an introductory chapter to TOE. I found this book particularly useful preparation for the BSE examination.
