Product Description

This training guide is intended for all students of taekwondo. It is the only up-to-date and official training manual of the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain and it covers the four novice grades which are incorporated into the White and Yellow Belts. The beginner is taken through a series of warm-up exercises; courtesy rituals are then explained and the basic punches, kicks, strikes and blocks of taekwondo are described. Common faults are identified and the appropriate remedies are suggested. The book then goes on to deal with prearranged sparring and patterns, breaking each down into easy-to-follow constituent parts. This manual has been written by senior instructors of the Taekwondo Association of Great Britain."

Great Introduction4
For any beginner to Tae Kwon-Do it can be daunting. Trying to get your feet in the right position, knowing how to punch and what a stance is can be hard enough, but this book from the TAGB makes it easier. The first book will always be the hardest, because when people are hooked, the next book in the series is easier to get to grips with - but the TAGB have it bang on here!

Great pictures, explanation, and I know i always harp on about it, but almost as good as the instructor!

Three of my students bought this book recently, and recommend it almost daily to all my other students.

I had better buy one myself!

beginning TKD? - you need this book!!4
This is the very best book for beginning TKD patterns that I have found. If you are a member of a TAGB club, you couldn't do better than this. Highly illustrated with extremely clear explanations of all the moves and patterns that you need to know to get you through your first 4 gradings.

Great Book!5
This book is really great. I bought it from Amazon about a year ago when I joined my University TKD class. I was the only white belt, and with a grading only a few weeks after starting I was quite worried, but this book got me through it no problems and I got an A-pass.

I train in a completely mixed ability class, and so its inevitable that the instructor will not get to see everyone personally, which is why a book like this is invaluable.

For every grading I've done I've used this book a couple of times a week in my own practice, as well as training sessions with the club, and I have always got really high pass marks.

In a few weeks I'll be going for my green belt, and so after this grading i will be finished with this book, but i've already ordered the next because they are so good.

This is for use with TAGB, the Puma syllabus is slightly different (ive had experience of both clubs) but for TAGB it really is fantastic. However, as all of the other reviewers have said, this is not a substitute for training, only a supplement.

Finally, Amazon is the cheapest place I've found this book, and if you're wondering, yes, it is the official TAGB book with senior instructors demonstrating the moves (one of which is my grading examiner!) Enjoy!
