great reference5
Wow - I've never seen so many different martial arts conditioning exercises in one place. Tons of clear pictures make the exercises easy to figure out and each exercise describes how it applies to martial arts so you can figure out what ones you should be doing. Other background info about power, flexibilty, etc, is well organized without any useless fluff - to the point and easy to apply to martial arts. Great book for any style.

Exactly what it says on the cover 5
In similar vein to the preceeding comments; I have found this book to be a real asset to have, especially if you are just starting your training in serious terms and need ideas for exercises to develop the seven building blocks of fitness and standards of fitness to work towards; ie strength, speed, coordination, flexibility etc. I used the 1st Edition of Dr Kim's book when I was a v v keen teenager and even with a BSc and an MSc in Biology and Physiotherapy today (and potentially a medical degree if I get on that course lol) i have always found this book the most to-the-point without reams and reams of complicated neuroanatomy and physiology pre-ambles to get in the way. For begineers go for it, intermediate and advanced grades in be Taekwon-Do, muay thai etc do give it real consideration and even for health professional eg sports scientists, medics, physios there are some treatment / training gems in here.

nice drills4
I especially liked the way the drills were categorizd. Although I knew many of the drills it was nice to see what each drill was good for: Balance, speed, power etc.
