An excellent book
This is not a self-help book promising miracle cures.

It explores the reasons for shyess, the mind and the body. Explains how shyness develops thru life and how it can be overcome and how you can successfully live with shyness. Many strategies are suggested for different life stages - none are quick fixes.

Your understanding of shyness can only increase with this book.

A first class read for parents of shy children and how to prevent problems before they start.

Concise, easy to understand, and utlimately life changing.
Carducci`s book on shyness opened up a new world for me, years of painful first encounters and the turmoil of being afraid. The inability I had to make the simplest amount of small talk kept me from making new friends and being more successful in my career.
